Whoops! I forgot to post at least once last week, which I try to do when I am making progress on the plane, So I'll combine this week and last week's together in one.
Progress was made in both weeks. Less this past due to a bit of a head cold. They seem to be going around at work and it must have been my turn. Despite that, I finished up the LG (Landing Gear) reinforcements, so stick a fork in that step and I moved back to the seatbelt attach points in chapter 8. I fabricated the parts for the outside attach points for all four seats and realized I don't have the outside step yet and a couple of the bolts on the pilot side share with the step, so I held there (not terribly pressing to complete right now) and I moved onto Chapter 8, step 6 (no pics yet) which at a first glance would appear to be seatbelt attach points but it should really be titled, "Continuing the heat duct to the LG bulkhead, building a tricky bit that goes from round to square and.. Oh yeah a center seatbelt attach while your at it". Yeah... That is definately a better and more appropriate title.
Anyway... I started that step. I am trying to get all the little bits cleaned up in chapter 8 so that when I move onto Chapter 9, step 3 (not started) and above (steps 1 & 2 are already done) I can do so knowing that I can go no further for now in chapter 8 and it is done until I decide what to do with the head rests.
The remainder of 9 is very technical, involving the actual fitting of the landing gear onto the aircraft, installing the axles, brakes, brakel-lines and Oh yeah, the landing brake, which if you just looked at the title, looks like it belongs in that chapter but is just one of those... "oh yeah... you have do do this at some point so this is as good a time as any" sort of tasks. I have noticed that there is at least one of those type of things in every chapter. Anyway, when chapter 9 is done, my plane will be sitting on it's main gear if I want it to be.
On the topic of Oshkosh. I am heading there and will be taking a ton of pictures for posting here (mostly when I get back but some when I am there). I will probably get nothing accomplished on the plane this week due to this trip. :-( ... but it will be beacuse I am at Osh! :-)
