Well it seems like not alot but I can't feel too bad that all I really got done on the plane project was drilling 2 holes this weekend. Yep just 2 holes! But I feel good about them. They represent 2 of 4 that needed drilled in the attach tabs I layed-up last week. I was only able to work on the plane on Saturday this weekend and I had a visit from a prospective-now-new builder from up-state that took up a good chunk of the day.

Tim (the now-new builder) came down and spent many hours haning out in the garage talking plane-talk. We also made sure that Tim got a little hands-on with many of the basic skills required for making a composite aircraft. We covered the "hinge-method" for creating a foam butt-joint, basic layup skills, glass to glass corners... etc. All good stuff to see before you dive in or get overwelmed with the verbage of what is a fairly easy to learn process. Needless to say; It was all good. I love having visitors and whenever I can take some of this fear away from what I know feels like a daunting task, it's time well spent. So good luck to you Tim and thanks for coming down to visit.

Back in the hangar... Gotta get those other 2 holes drilled and get the gear out of that Jig this week. Those holes I keep talking about determine how the aircraft track so I want to make sure that they're right...

Anyway, I'll update the builder section of the site when I get a few minutes later in the week. I took some pictures (yes of the 2 holes! Progress is Progress!!!) so those will go up with the update. (Don't Laugh!!!)
