Is this a kit airplane that you are building? No. A kit airplane is where you would order a kit of partially assembled or prefabricated parts where you are largely assembling. This aircraft is known as a 'scratch build' aircraft or 'plans build'. This means that you order plans for the aircraft, you then order raw materials and manufacture the parts of the aircraft yourself. Now this does not mean EVERY part. There are a number of pre-manufactured parts in this aircraft such as the landing gear, brakes.... etc. In locations that you'd imagine there might me. These are largely areas where metal machining might be required or there are high stresses.
